“I started this with a group of people from my work. Today was the last day of our 4 week challenge. I have to admit that for the most part, I have done very well. I am so happy with the results, I intend to stick with this food plan & continue on this new path. Seeing my blood pressure in the normal range & knowing, I have lost weight almost effortlessly, 17 lbs as of last Friday, is enough to keep me motivated. I also want to thank everyone for the support I have found here in this group. There have been a couple hard times that this group has helped me through, with kind words, ideas, encouragement & even recipes. I have some new favorite foods, too.”
“I’m still making my way through the recipes in Eat for Health, working on Phase 4. I’ve been doing what I can and surprisingly my family will at least try some of what I make even if they also eat other stuff. And the best news for me what that I was finally able to get my 4 year old to eat smoothies in popsicle form (after only 2 years of trying!) So I think my persistence is paying off for the whole family. I guess what I am most surprised by is that my cravings for bread and salty foods has really been reduced. I have been a die hard salt addict for so long that being able to turn down chips and pretzels is an enormous victory for me. I am going to stick with it, but I’m also looking forward to the next challenge – I think I’ll be more prepared this time and I know I can get even better at eating this way. I’ve been enjoying reading the posts – it has really helped to hear others experiences are similar to mine and has really helped encourage me to continue.”
